This page explains the cookies and similar technologies we use, in line with the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR) and UK GDPR.

Essential only, by default

PrepCompare runs on strictly necessary storage only — for example, remembering the providers you've added to a comparison. These are required for the site to work and don't need consent. We do not currently run advertising or tracking cookies.

Analytics

We use privacy-friendly, cookieless analytics (Vercel Analytics) to count page views and measure performance. It sets no cookies, stores nothing on your device and doesn't track you across sites, so under PECR it needs no consent. We run no advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

Affiliate

When you click through to a provider, that provider or its affiliate network may set cookies on their own site to attribute any resulting sign-up. These are controlled by third parties under their own policies. Read more in our affiliate disclosure.

Managing cookies

Use the "Cookie settings" option in the consent banner, or clear and block cookies in your browser settings at any time.
